Chiara Levin, 22, is shot and killed.

March 24, 2007

A New York resident, Levin is struck by a stray bullet at an after-hours party at 415 Geneva Avenue. She had come to Boston to attend a birthday celebration for her great aunt. Levin’s killing prompts Rev. Bruce Wall to threaten to put up posters saying that Boston is not safe for visitors, the New York chapter of the Guardian Angels to send a patrol group to Boston, and Dorchester resident Sharon McPherson to declare, “As a mom and a nanna, I am glad to see the Guardian Angels coming to Boston. Being scared to live in Boston is a terrible feeling.”
